Bart Shane Casterlin, 60, of Port Crane went to be with his Lord on March 7, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Jillian R. Casterlin; mother, Kay D. Casterlin; children, Gideon James Casterlin, Isabella Kay Cast- erlin, Ellianna Grace Casterlin; sister Cindy Lou Cast- erlin along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Kenneth E. Casterlin and his brother Brett S. Casterlin. Bart served in the United States Air Force in the Security Police Force. After his service he owned a roofing company, worked in a print shop and was a Medical Massage Therapist for 23 years. He was known for his story telling and being practical and down to earth. Bart loved helping others and being Mr. Fix-It. He enjoyed being an out- doorsman, artist, and adventurer. Above all, Bart was a lifelong servant to God. Bart was actively involved in his church, Crossroads of Life Church, where he served in the Children’s Ministry. He taught Sunday School and performed wonderful puppet shows to bring children closer to God. The three most impor- tant things in his life were his faith, his children and his family. Bart’s favorite verse from the Bible was 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. A private memorial service will be held at a lat- er date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Crossroads of Life Church, 18 Exchange Street, Binghamton, NY 13901
