That describes The Susquehanna Valley Central School District’s Inaugural “Kick It for Cans” fundraiser, to be held Wednesday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School, Conklin Road, Conklin. The event will feature a kickball competition between 5th-grade students at Susquehanna Valley’s two elementary schools: Francis P. Donnelly Elementary and Brookside Elementary. All proceeds will benefit the Sabers Food Center, housed at Donnelly. “Kick It for Cans” promises to be a fun-filled and friendly competition, showcasing Sabers Community spirit, and raising awareness and much-needed support for those experiencing food insecurity in our community. “This event is not just about enjoying kickball competition; it’s about kicking hunger out of our community,” said Stacey Stilloe, F.P. Donnelly Social Worker and director of the Sabers Food Center. “It’s heartwarming to witness such unity and generosity from our sponsors, whose support will undoubtedly make a significant impact.” The “Kick It for Cans” fundraiser is made possible by the generous contributions of our sponsors.
