Roger D. Savidge, 95, passed peacefully, at Good Shepard The Village, Endwell on the Wednesday morning of March 8, 2023. He was the son of Wil- liam T. Savidge and Maude Savidge Heath. He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Elizabeth Savidge, and his son David W. Savidge. He was also predeceased by his brothers Stanley and Don- ald Savidge. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Savidge, grandchildren, Alexis, Nathan and Noah Savidge, nephew, Lee Savidge of Liverpool, NY and children; Shari Murray, David L. Savidge and Lisa Senf. He was a fifty-year member of Ogden Hillcrest United Methodist Church. He was a gradu- ate of Binghamton, North High School, Harper Col- lege and served three years in the United States Navy. He was a Certified Public Accountant and a founding member of the accounting firm Johnson, Lauder and Savidge. He was a past member of the New York state Board for Public Accounting and Past board member and Vice President of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Roger was active in several community organiza- tions for many years, he was a past president of the Broome Community College (SUNY Broome) Foun- dation, a past board member of the BC Arts Coun- cil, United Way of Broome County, the Family and Childrens Society of Broome County, The Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton, and the Wyoming Con- ference Childrens Home. He was a member of the Binghamton Club and the Jazz Club of Sarasota, Florida. As a young man he played trumpet around Binghamton, NY in dance bands. He enjoyed fish- ing, a daily beer, playing tennis, and his daily walks, which he continued until he was 95. He and his wife enjoyed spending half the year in their favorite place, Siesta Key, Florida, going to the theater, live music performances and traveling.
