Robert Martin Gilmore, 65, of Port Crane. It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Martin Gilmore, who departed this life on October 17, 2024, at the age of 65. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born in Johnson City, NY, Robert was renowned for his kindness and unwavering dedication to those around him. He served with pride in several fire departments throughout his life, with his most recent position at the Sanitaria Springs Fire Department. Robert had a passion for cooking and loved to share meals with family and friends. He also enjoyed camping with his loved ones and took great pride in his career as a truck driver, traveling extensively across the United States.
Robert is survived by; his beloved wife, Mary-Alice Gilmore; three sons, Andre, Benny, and Chad Gilmore. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Carter Bell, Aidan Gilmore, Hailey Smith, Jaime Gilmore, and Jade Gilmore. He is also survived by his aunt and uncles, LaVerna Gilmore Mastronardi of Cortland, NY, Austin Gilmore of Greene, NY, and David Gilmore of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Throughout his life, Robert was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first and offering a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity and warmth will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held 5pm Friday October 25, 2024 at the Sanitaria Springs Fire Station 811 State Route 7 Port Crane, NY 13833. Rest in peace, Robert Martin Gilmore.
