Thomas F. Crossett of Johnson City

Thomas F. Crossett, 86, of Johnson City fell into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 20th, 2024. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Kingsley. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Sandra Connors Crossett; two sons, Andrew Crossett of Binghamton and John (Gabriela) Crossett of Virginia; two grandsons, Lucas and Conor; his sister, Patricia Treat of California; his brother, Bob (Penny) Crossett of Florida, as well as by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom was a social worker for many years at the Broome County Department of Social Services, Catholic Charities, and the Susquehanna Valley Home. He was also Director of the Alcoholism Center of Broome County (ACBC). He received his Masters Degree from Syracuse University.

In 1978, Tom was ordained as a deacon for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse and served the parishes of St. Thomas Aquinas in Binghamton and St. James in Johnson City. He was a good man, a loving husband and father, and a dedicated deacon. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great store of knowledge which he shared generously. He will be greatly missed.
